Why do I need a brand identity?

Branding is more than just a selection of colours and a beautiful logo (although, we admit those things are fun!), it’s how your audience connects with you. It’s trust, a promise and your values all bundled up into a perfectly presented package.

When people see your brand what do you want them to feel? That they are getting quality content? Perhaps a product that is always great value? Your brand identity builds over time and comes to mean something to people. So it pays to create a strong identity as early as possible.

Don't I just need a logo?

A logo is a pretty typical place that people start when thinking about their visual brand. But the truth is that your visual brand is about so much more than a logo.

Your logo is important, because – after the fact – it anchors people back to the initial experience that they had with your brand.

But that initial experience….?

The impression made by that initial experience is shaped by the imagery, the colours, the layout, the fonts, the way it’s all put together.

You can think of your logo like the small emblem on the pocket of your t-shirt. It’s a small detail that someone might notice, IF they look past the expression on your face, your body language, the cut of your hair, the clothes you are wearing.

Should you invest in a professional logo? Yes. Definitely. But don’t do it at the expense of purposefully considering the things that make the biggest impression.

What if I already have some branding?

The first question to ask is – how well is that branding working for you? Does it create the right instinctive impression, that puts your ‘right customer’ in the right frame of mind to listen to what you have to say?

If yes, then that’s great. Our designers can work with the elements of your visual brand to create further marketing material for you.

If no, then it’s worth taking the time to purposefully consider who you are trying to connect with, and what impression you are trying to create with them. That’s when our designers can help you uplevel your brand to purposefully craft a visual experience that creates the ‘right’ instinctive impression.

I'm not a designer, can I still edit my designs?

We try to tailor our services to your needs so that you can get the most out of your designs. If you don’t know how to use professional grade design software – or don’t have the budget to purchase it – we can work with you to create editable templates for you in a more user-friendly software such as Canva.
